What's included:

Content and Developmental Editing: This includes checking for plot holes, sentence structure and readability, character development and any other content issues that are found while reading document.

Line editing: Grammar, punctuation, Incomplete Sentences, and adding suggestions for strengthening sentences.

Up to three rounds of editing. (Note: Most clients only need two.

Ryder Editing offers both Track Changes and Comment edits through Microsoft Word.

Ryder Editing suggests at least two rounds of edits to make sure that the document is ready for publication.

Turnaround:
Please allow up to two weeks for returns on edits. Depending on how much editing is needed and the length of the manuscript, that turnaround time can vary depending on personal schedule.
Ryder Editing will inform all clients of expected turn around time for first rounds of edits.
* Please Note: Full payment is expected before the first round of editing will be sent. *
Sample Edits: Sample edits are encouraged and provided to any author who wishes to receive them. Ryder Editing and Formatting offers 1 chapter of sample editing per client before booking.
Payment plans: Payment plans can be provided for any invoice over $100.00, but the first round of a fully edited document will not be sent until a full payment has been made. Any invoice under $100.00 will be charged the full amount without the option of a payment plan.
Refunds: Refunds can be given up until the first round of edits has been sent.
After a client has received their first round of edits, payments are non-refundable.
References are available upon request.

Proofreading Pricing

Ryder Editing prefers to do full edits for clients, but we also offer proofreading services. This service is available to authors whose books have already been through an editor but are looking for someone to do a final read-through to look for any errors that may have been missed in their manuscripts. The following prices are for one round of proofreading:

Please Note: If while proofreading a document, numerous errors are found and does not look like it has been already through an editor, Ryder Editing will contact the author and see how they wish to proceed and will then suggest a full edit be done on the document in order to ensure quality work is being done before publication.

Turnaround:
Turnaround for proofreading is the same as Editing turnaround times and is subject to personal schedule and length of manuscript.

For formatting, all backmatter and images you wish to be included, (Including title graphics etc.) should be sent before requesting a final format. Basic formatting does not include images, if you wish to have images included in your document, please refer to my Fancy formatting prices. Due to my time constraints, please note that after a final format has been sent, any additional changes requested will be an extra $5.00 per change. So, please make sure that all your requests and expectations for formatting are relayed in the email you send with your manuscript submission for a final format before publication.
